Week 9 Part A: Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts, and Webinars

In this post, the reasons for adding human interest content into advertising campaigns will be addressed. A post with personal interest, offers deeper interaction with the advertising itself. It is a good idea to attach certain personal touches when as a business, we try to attract our audience and want to make them come back.

Some techniques for this goal can range from adding a story to the post, or sharing a before success picture. This can create an ambience of a personal level interaction directly with the product’s advertising. Another thing we could add to create a more personal touch is modeling. Like in the clothing industry, this is highly successful because it’s suggests a general idea that customers can achieve if they were to purchase such items.
These business tactics can be hard to be utilized by all types of businesses. I think the stock market business may find itself in a tough spot to offer personalized advertising, or advertising at all. Such market is more customer self guided. However, I don’t want to suggest such idea as an absolute.

  1. I love the idea of a "before/after" success story type photo. People (myself included) LOVE to see before and afters. It really shows how much work the business put into things and how far they've come. Great idea. (Megan, North County Fam)

  2. I think people would really appreciate modeling items like you mentioned. It would really give people a better idea of what they are buying. I think they are more likely to buy it too because without modeling people might not know exactly what they are buying and might opt to not buy the product. It would also give customers ideas of how they could use the product in ways they hadn't thought of before. I hadn't really thought of your ideas before, but I think they are really good.

  3. I'm all about from the beginning of a business to how it is now. I can relate tremendously. With small businesses, I'm always curious to know when, where, and why the business exists. Also, what do they want to accomplish from it.
